Reading Response 10/17

SO  i was unable to blog on Monday due to people being so interrupting  in my social life.

So i have been Reading November Blues By Sharon M. Draper.  I have gotten pretty far in the book.  So Far Novembers Boyfriend died. November has found out that she is pregnant by her now dead boyfriend. She is still in High school and is unsure if she should keep the child. She wants to be able to go to College and enjoy life and that wont be able to happen with a child. But her boyfriend was an only child so telling his parents that he had a child before he died would bring some joy to there lives. She feels giving the baby up for abortion is best but selfish as well.

I totally can relate to this chapter.  I have had someone been put in a situation where they dont know whats best in terms of thinking about themselves and also how it effects the people around you.  Big choices effects more then just you.

10/10/11 Reading Response

So i finish the Forge By Fire book by Sharon M. Draper
I am now reading another Sharon M. Draper book called November Blues

I haven't got far but so far i am told that a girl name November whom is really smart and pretty has a boyfriend name Robert whom is captain of the Basketball team. They are about to graduate high school and plan on going to the same college.

The rest of the chapter goes on to describe their relationship

Okay so im almost done with read the book Forged By Fire.
Gerald now has a lil sister whom now is about 6 or 7. Gerald is 17. Gerald's mother is still abusive but is now with his little sisters father. whom is a raper. His sister just told Gerald that her father "Touches Her" and now Gerald has to find a way to protect not only him but his sister as well.
   I can not relate to this situation but i have heard stories about it happening to people I know.  I can not imagine going through this personally but I can imagine me going crazy from it.

this book is so deep its crazy. it makes you want to read. loving it

Monday Reading 9/19

So the book continues to go on about how Gerald was abused by his mother. When Gerald was about five or six his mother burned his psalm with the lighter he had found.  Gerald's mother was more then strick on him she was absolutely crazy.  This book brings tears to my eyes every Monday i read a new chapter it gets deeper and deeper. Heart breaking.
   i can relate to this situation because one of my friends parents were abusive but my personally i would have to go and get help from someone i would never just allow it to continue

Sharon M. Draper writes books that puts pictures in your head and make you image the whole story.

Monday Reading 9/12/11

Forge By Fire by Sharon M. Draper

This book was one of the most powerful books I have ever read. so far its about a young man by the name of Gerald, who is abused by his mother. The book begins on Gerald as a young boy and how his mother would abuse him physically  and emotionally.
I can relate to this book because I've had people break me emotionally. But I kept my head high and over came every challenge.

So far I give this book 5 stars.
